Blanca Garcia Hence is a Professor of Tourism Marketing and Fundamentals of Marketing at Universidad de Alcalá, Spain. She obtained a Ph.D. in Business Administration at the same university in 2000.
Her research lines focused on the Tourist Marketing , Experimental Marketing, Tourist and Gastronomy, Singular District as a tourist product. Blanca García Henche primary fields of research are rural tourism and development, rural marketing, international marketing, international tourism strategies and targets groups in tourism marketing, with a special interest in Spain as a tourist destination. She is also author of book chapters, academic articles and articles for marketing practice on these fields.  Her publications have appeared in journals including «Cuadernos de Turismo», «Cahier de Reserche» and «AD-Research». In addition, she is author of Marketing de Turismo Rural, leader book of Esic-Piramide .
Blanca García Henche has presented her research at several international conferences. She is a frequent participant at the International Conference of Tourism (INVTUR). She contributes with professional conferences in “Gestiona Radio” and “Onda Cero” (Spain).
She has received fellowships from Erasmus grant inside Teaching Staff Program and research grants from Erasmus and visit different Universities inside Erasmus+ Program: Jyvaskykla Polithecnic in Finland, École Superieure du Commerce Exterieur in France, Università degli Studi di Verona in Italy, Vaxjo university in Sweden, Fachhochschule Pforzheim in Germany, Haagse Hogeschool in Holland and Universidade de Aveiro in Portugal.
Blanca García Henche has provided consulting services on leadership, strategic planning and tourism marketing to public and private organizations such as Promotur Organización Promoción Turística Canarias, Animación turística en Hoteles y Campings (ACTTIV) Leisure Projets, Instituto Madrileño de Desarrollo (IMADE), TurEspaña, Asociación de Comerciantes del Barrio de Las Letras de Madrid. She is also member of working group Turismo Rural II - Base diagnóstico Estrategia Turismo Sostenible 2030, in Segur, Turespaña.
