Kumar Apaar is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the Manipal Centre for Philosophy and Humanities, India. He completed his doctoral work in philosophy at Emory University, and has published articles and reviews on Kant’s metaphysics and epistemology. His research interests include Kant, hermeneutics and phenomenology, and ethical and political philosophy. Apart from his work on Kant’s theory of self–consciousness, he is currently also exploring questions at the interface of philosophical hermeneutics and social ontology.
