Prof. Luciano Rosati is full professor of Structural Mechanics at University of Naples 'Federico II' since november 2001.

Education
1976 — He took the Scientific High School Diploma with full marks.
1976 — He took the First Certificate Diploma in English at the British Council in Naples.
1982 — He got the B.S. and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (with honours) at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’.
1983 — He passed the qualifying examinations as an engineer with full marks.
1984 — He got the B.S. and M.S. degree in Civil Engineering (with honours) at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’.
1985 — He took the TOEFL Diploma in English (marks 570/700) at the American Study Center in Naples.
1989 — He got a Ph.D. in Structural Mechanics at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’ discussing the dissertation: Problems in Mechanics of Structures with Convex Constraints.
1990 — He was appointed as a researcher in Structural Mechanics at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’.
1997 — He got a two-months NATO-CNR grant for research activity at the Imperial College in London. Department of Aeronautics. Supervisor: prof. Mike Crisfield. Topic: development and implementation of finite element models for large strain elastoplasticity.
1998 — He was appointed as associate professor of Structural Mechanics at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’.
2001 — He was appointed as full professor of Structural Mechanics at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’.

Affiliations
Member of the Professional Institution of Engineers in Naples (since 1983).
Member of the Professor Council of the Ph.D. in Structural Engineering.
Past Member of the National Secretary of the scientific area ICAR/08 "Mechanics of Structures"
Member of the Research Task Committee "Instructions for the Design, Construction and Control of Static Strengthening by means of fiber-reinforced composites", hosted by C.N.R. (National Research Council).
