Domenico Grimaldi is Associate Professor of Electronic Measurement at the Department of Electronics, Computer and System Sciences of the University of Calabria, 87036 Rende (CS)-Italy.
He has remained there in a variety of research and management positions. He is responsible of the Laboratory for processing the measurement information, and University’s spin-off SenSysCal s.r.l.. He was responsible of the research unit in the frame of National Projects PRIN, FIRB and international projects INTERLINK supported by the Italian Ministry for University and Research. He was responsible in the Tempus Project and Leonardo da Vinci Project supported by the European Union. He was delegate of the Rector of the University of Calabria.
He is a member of the Italian Institute of Electrical Engineers (AEI), and from 1998 to 2000 he was AEI vice-president for the Calabria Region. Prof. Grimaldi has authored and co-authored over 210 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings. His current researches include the characterization of measurement transducers, neural modelling for ADC and measuring systems, digital signal processing for monitoring and testing, virtual instrumentation and distributed measurements, telecommunication system measurement, and measurement for medical application.
