Educated in Madrid and New York, Gerardo del Cerro holds Ph.D.s in the social sciences from the New School for Social Research in New York and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and a MFA in Classical Piano from the Madrid Royal Conservatory. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Executive Program on Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Non-Profit Organizations. His latest book, Bilbao. Basque Pathways to Globalization, is considered to be “one of the more sophisticated studies of globalization available today" (Diane Davis, MIT), and a seminal contribution to the field of globalized urbanization. Gerardo del Cerro is Associate Professor at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City and a past Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
