Alessandro CHESSA graduated in Physics and received a PhD in theoretical Physics at the University of Cagliari (Italy). From January 1996 to October 1998 he has been in charge for the technological infrastructure of Scelta, a company leader in the field of Internet sport content management (now From April 1999 to July 2000 he has been Research Associate in the Physics Department of Boston University, studying Econophysics. In the meantime he has also been Scientific Consultant at the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Trieste) for a project about Parallel Computation. From October 2000 to January 2003 he has been a Scientific Consultant and Chief Business Development Operator for Abbeynet Srl, a company leader in Europe for telecommunication software over the Internet. From 2002 he also started an activity as a private Internet Marketing consultant. Starting from the academic year 2003/2004 he has been university professor in a course of “Data structure and algorithms”. As entrepreneur is the founder of the SME Linkalab. In the year 2012 he has been adjunct researcher in the Institute for Complex Systems (CNR) , “La Sapienza” Rome, doing research in the field of Complex Network Theory. At present he is Assistant Professor in Statistical Physics in IMT, Institute for Advanced Studies, Lucca (Italy). Expert of Complex Networks and Data Science, has worked in the area of Community Detection for Spatial Networks.
